TODAY EXPRESS NEWS : फरीदाबाद, 29 अगस्त – वाईएमसीए विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, फरीदाबाद के इंडस्ट्री रिलेशन्स सेल, मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग तथा कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वावधान तथा आईसीटी अकादमी के सहयोग से ‘बिग साइंस तथा बिग डाटा एनालिटिक्स’ विषय पर आयोजित एक सप्ताह के फैकल्टी डेवलेपमेंट कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन आज कुलपति प्रो. दिनेश कुमार द्वारा किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा डाटा साइंस जैसे उभरते क्षेत्र में शिक्षकों को प्रशिक्षण करने की पहल की गई है। कार्यक्रम में विश्वविद्यालय व अन्य शिक्षण संस्थानों के 50 प्रतिभागी हिस्सा ले रहे है। इस अवसर पर डीन (इंस्टीट्यूशन्स) डाॅ. संदीप ग्रोवर, मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग के अध्यक्ष डाॅ. तिलक राज, कम्प्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग विभाग के अध्यक्ष डाॅ. कोमल कुमार भाटिया तथा आईटी विभाग के अध्यक्ष डाॅ. अतुल मिश्रा उपस्थित थे। इस अवसर पर संबोधित करते हुए कुलपति प्रो. दिनेश कुमार ने प्रतिभागियों को नई उभरती तकनीकों को सीखने के प्रति रूचि रखने के लिए प्रेरित किया तथा कहा कि नई उभरती प्रौद्योगिकी में रोजगार व अनुसंधार के लिए व्यापक संभावनाएं है। उन्होंने दिनचर्या में डाटा साइंस तथा बिग डाटा एनालिसिस के उपयोगिता पर बल दिया और कहा कि उभरती नई तकनीकों को लेकर ज्ञानवर्धन में ऐसे कार्यक्रम अहम साबित होते है। सत्र को संबोधित करते हुए डाॅ. तिलक राज ने प्रतिभागियों को डाटा साइंस के ऐतिहासिक विकास के बारे में बताया तथा इस उभरती तकनीक के क्षेत्र में ज्यादा से ज्यादा परियोजनाओं पर कार्य करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। सत्र को संबोधित करते हुए डाॅ. संदीप ग्रोवर ने ग्रेजुएट व पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट स्तर पर विद्यार्थियों को नई तकनीकों से अवगत करवाने के लिए ऐसे कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने पर बल दिया ताकि विद्यार्थी नये क्षेत्रों में रोजगार की संभावनाओं को तलाश सके। कार्यक्रम के संयोजक डाॅ. संजीव गोयल व डाॅ. रश्मी पोपली ने बताया कि कार्यक्रम के आयोजन का उद्देश्य प्रतिभागियों को बिग डाटा व डाटा विश्लेषण की परियोजनाओं पर प्रेक्टिकल प्रशिक्षण उपलब्ध करवाना है ताकि वे नई तकनीक को बेहतर ढंग से समझ सके।

Faridabad, 29 August – A week long Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Data Science and Big Data Analytics’ jointly organized by the Industrial Relations Cell, Mechanical Engineering Department and Computer Engineering Department of YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad in collaboration ICT Academy was inaugurated today by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar. With this program, the University has taken initiative to made faculty aware about the emerging field of Data Science. As many as 50 participants from University and other Institutions are participating in the program. Dean (Institutions) Dr. Sandeep Grover, Chairperson of Mechanical Engineering Department Dr. Tilak Raj, Chairperson of Computer Engineering Department Dr. Komal Kumar Bhatia and Chairperson of Computer Applications and IT Department Dr. Atul Mishra were also present on this occasion.In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar urged the participants to be keen observers for developing new technologies. He emphasized the importance of Data Science and Big Data Analysis in real life applications. He complimented both the Departments for conducting program for the benefit of faculty members and emphasized the importance of such courses for updating the knowledge. In his address, Dr. Tilak Raj made the audience aware about the historical development of Data Science and motivated students and faculty to take more and more research oriented projects in this emerging field. Addressing the session, Dr. Sandeep Grover stressed upon need of such courses related to emerging technologies for undergraduate and post graduate level students so that fresh minds can be oriented towards this field which has wide scope for jobs. The Course Convenors Dr. Sanjeev Goyal and Dr. Rashmi Popli said that the aim to conduct this course is to provide practical foundation level training to the participants so as to make them enable in immediate and effective participation in big data and other analytics projects. Earlier, the participants were welcomed by Director, Industrial Relations Dr. Rashmi Popli and briefed about the various contours of the week long program.
