TODAY EXPRESS NEWS ( AJAY VERMA ) Virender Vij, IPS, DCP (Traffic)-Cum-Mela Police Officer inspected Surajkund Mela Grounds and reviewed Traffic & Parking Arrangements in connection with forthcoming 32nd Surajkund International Crafts Mela scheduled to be held from 2-18 Feb 2018. He was accompanied by Shri Satbir Mann, HCS, SDM Badkhal & Joint Commissioner Old Faridabad, Shri Devender Singh, ACP, Inspector Security Vishal Kumar and other Police Officers of Faridabad district besides the officers from Town & Planning and Haryana Roadways Dept Faridabad .
Shri Rajesh Joon, Nodal Officer, Surajkund Mela Authority and Shri Jagdish Chander, SDE Haryana Tourism coordinated their visit on behalf of Haryana Tourism & Surajkund Mela Authority.
Shri Vij took a completed round of Surajkund Mela Grounds spread over in 42.5 Acres of land and directed his team to prepare a comprehensive 3-tier Security Plan for the security of the participants and visitors. He thereafter took round of all the parking lots and roads leading to Surajkund Mela Grounds to make a traffic & parking plan. The preparedness on Disaster Management prominently figured during the meeting of officers held at Surajkund Mela Secretariat.
Shri Vij directed all concerned to pull up their socks for meticulous planning on Security, Safety, Traffic & Parking arrangements.
Shri Satbir Mann, SDM Badkhal & Joint Commissioner Old Faridabad directed MCF staff to check encroachments on roads by petty vendors and take corrective measure on overflowing sewer disposal along with the main road.
The meeting and inspection was carried out in the wake of District Administration Senior Officers Level meeting regarding Surajkund Mela proposed to be held on 17.01.2018 at 11.00 am in Magpie Tourist Resort Faridabad which would be chaired by Shri Vijai Vardhan, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary Tourism Govt of Haryana-Cum-Vice Chairman Surajkund Mela Authority in the presence of Shri Sameer Pal Srow, IAS, MD, Haryana Tourism-Cum-Chief Administrator, Surajkund Mela Authority.
