TODAY EXPRESS NEWS ( AJAY VERMA ) The infant GKFTII, has started gathering momentum on the highway to success and has a very impressive progress-report card in this short span. The first session is yet to be completed, nevertheless the students have made their presence felt with their great performances at Maharishi Markhande University, Ambala and Galgotias University. The reflection of the virtuous faculty and teaching staff is evident through the work of the students. While the maiden batch students are in their final round, nonetheless the second session was formally inaugurated today with much enthusiasm following the response received. The first session commenced with the acting courses while the second session, besides acting, has all different courses of film and television technology, covering the broad spectrum of entertainment, news & current affairs programs besides the new media.
The guests on this occasion included Mr M K Raina, the famous Bollywood film actor, writer, director, theatre personality and promoter of art and culture,Mr Shankar Shaney, the famous folk and spiritual singer, guitarist and promoter of music. The function was presided over by the Directors of the GKFTII, Ms Sudesh Kumari, Ms Tulsi Kumar, Mr Hitesh Relhan and the Dean of GKFTII Prof Kalyan Sarkar in the presence of the other noted faculty and the students. Mr Raina opined that students would be much benefited by the vast experience of GKFTII’s parent concern the T-Series. However, he reminded them that their dreams could only be realised through ceaseless efforts and discipline in this charged atmosphere of Gulshan Kumar Film & Television Institute of India.The other guest Mr Shankar Shaney reminded students that they were lucky to be part of this legendary organisation which has raised the standards of Indian music and the Bollywood film industry. Great legends have born from T-Series and have raised the benchmark which in turn has generated higher expectations from the students. Prof Kalyan Sarkar Dean GKFTII assured the guests and the august gathering on this auspicious occasion that GKFTII has best of the faculty from the field besides the vast infrastructure and the state of the art equipment with constant upgradation program to meet the requirements of the ever changing technology. He also assured them that no stone shall remain unturned to write another success story in golden words.
