    The International conference of PCOS Society of India held, focusing on the different stages of life

    TODAY EXPRESS NEWS ( Ajay verma ) The third Annual Congress of the ‘PCOS Society of India’ held in collaboration with the Androgen Excess and PCOS Society in Gurugram NCR, Delhi at the Leela Ambience Hotel. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects women at all stages of life hence, this International conference is entitled “PCOS… through the cycle of life”.

       The main motive behind the Conference was to focus on the different stages of life, including the prenatal, childhood, adolescent, reproductive and post-menopausal periods. As the National Doctors Day is near, therefore the entire doctor’s clan were together to promote the Women health agenda. The event was graced by Dr. Rekha Sharma, New Chairperson of PCOS, Padam Shree Honored Prof. Alka Kriplani, Dr. Togas Tulandi McHill University, Montreal, Canada, Dr. Duru Shah Founder President, The PCOS Society India, Madhuri Patil Scientific Chair Conference, The PCOS Society, Enrico Carmina, CEO, The AE-PCOS Society, Helena Teede, President, The AE-PCOS Society and many other known personalities.

       The Conference included 3 Pre-Congress Workshops and the main conference which was interactive and promoted in-depth knowledge of both the subjects. Including experts, advice for various disciplines of medicine adding understanding of the complex endocrine problem. The event also conducted for the first time the “PCOS Practitioner” Exam and the “PCOS Quiz” during the conference.

       The PCOS Society was on 6th August 2015, a new Society created and termed as “The PCOS Society” (India), which focuses on the subject of PCOS. The Society is a multi-disciplinary Society and has a mix of Gynecologists, Endocrinologists, Dermatologists and all health specialties which deal with PCOS patients.
